Why coal creek carpentry?

Meet Dean, the owner of Coal Creek Carpentry

Dean grew up in Tucson, Arizona working at his father’s glass company. A glazier by trade, Dean spent his entire childhood learning all aspects of the glazing industry from his father. After getting married and starting a family, Dean took his skills to Las Vegas, Nevada where he was picked up by a custom home builder. Dean demonstrated exceptional design/build skills and was quickly promoted to working superintendent. He was fortunate enough to spend over ten years building multi-million dollar custom homes in the Las Vegas Valley, but decided to get out of the heat and take his knowledge to the Pacific Northwest. For nearly five years, Dean worked as a project manager for a custom home remodeler in the Seattle area. After becoming empty nesters, Dean and his wife, Samantha, relocated to the Longview area. He has a passion for carpentry and woodworking and he loves to think outside of the box. In his spare time, Dean enjoys building custom wood furniture and spending time outdoors with his wife, his kids, and three dogs. (And watching the Denver Broncos and WSU Cougars football) Go Cougs!

Dean and Samantha purchased their dream property…10 acres in the forest where Dean has a dedicated woodworking shop. Their property is right near the Columbia River with a stream running through to a creek called Coal Creek which flows into the Columbia…hence the name Coal Creek Carpentry!
